赌侠1999A remake of the classic Hong Kong movie of the same name, this modern day adaptation explores themes of loyalty and honor through the life story of Chan Ho-yin (Chow Yun-fat) who is falsely accused of a crime he did not commit. Released from prison, Chan is taken under the wing of his fan club president Ah-ching (Wong Shun-kei), who has been in awe of him since childhood. As they try to set out and prove Chan's innocence, their journey of friendship takes them across Hong Kong and mainland China, highlighting the changes of time as well.
